even cowgirls get the blues.

going with the theme of the day, i had to put up some johnny cash. i wanted to put up jackson, but didn't. don't ask me why. i'm asking myself why right now. why tessa... why???!!!!!!!!

okay so this outfit doesn't make sense at all, kind of like me.

i did a feature with new york design shop on my studded duct tape rings. so go check it out and learn how to make them, they are super duper easy--and you can make them in every color. shit! i find myself typing with a twang. now, does that make sense?! oop... mexi-truck is here, cerveza's waiting... gotta dash!

note: i was wearing the rings in my last post, but took them off to do some washin' in the stream out back and forgot to put them back on.

i almost forgot, and how could i?! kim at ice age heat wave gave me the 'sunshine award'. i feel so honored as kim kicks some serious ass, is an amazing writer and i love her (despite being a little upset at her for her sudden move to berlin...aargh).  i am going to throw all rules out the window and give this to each and every one of you today. because it's a loving kind of day like that. how can you not give love, or feel love while listening to johnny cash?!! take it and run peeps! i expect to see it posted on all your blogs tomorrow. love.

  2. I think this outfit makes perfect sense! If you were wearing a pair of jeans(sans diy) & a tee(minus holes) I think I would have to question what had happened haha. Oh, and I totally think in accents all the time...

p.s have you even seen the movie Even Cowgirls Get the Blues? Uma Thurman has giant thumbs in it...

  4. yes,

I am making one of those badass duct tape rings. even i can probably do it. and i love duct tape. if duct tape can't fix it, then it's truly broke.

    XOXO, K

  5. You're tan!! Betch. There is not such thing as tan in NYC. Unless of course you sit in an oven for 15 minutes a day haha. I have always had a special spot in my heart/closet for cowboy looks. They are seriously to DIY for... LOVE IT. LOVE YOU.

  15. Love this. It sort of reminds me of a Guess advertisement with a bit of country twang. Would eliminate the socks though because it makes it a little trashy with the short shorts, but you could definitely pull it off.
