the style revolution, lusty, claire, style baro, daisy chain and jess--thank you so much for your comments. i love each and every one of your comments and your blogs. thank you! xxx much love.
ReplyDeletekim--yes that was the lovely miss joan jett. she is the only celebrity i've worked with that i wanted my pic with. we were hanging out in her trailer, trying to keep warm and i was trying to build up the courage to ask. i was so scared. it was hysterical. dude i remember skating to "i love rock n roll" at the skating rink when i was 12. so crazy.
wendy--seriously right? this is the first year i have not done anything with my hair. oh i take that back, my hubby was scared that i was going to cut my hair into a mullet b4 the wedding and i really wanted to cut it, so i shaved the underneath instead. that way you could see it when i put it up but not when it was down. voila!
nickie--haaha! i don't even know what i was doing with beer at all in pics. i hate the stuff. weird. and i am totally freaking out. i used to wear that ring all the time and seeing these pics, i'm wondering where it went. aargh!
nyds--when u move to l.a. (pretty please) i will be happy to dress you every day of your life! haha. thanks for the sweet compliment!
isquisofrenia--haha. you crack me up. didn't you only miss one post? and of course all of these lovely snapshots. hee hee. there were so many, it was hard to choose what to put up. xxx
the man from amsterdam--thank you so much for visiting again. i love it! xxx
carla--you know i don't have any great advice. the weird thing with me and smoking is that i was either a chain smoker or not smoking at all. i would just get sick of it sometimes. so after i got married (my husband puts up with it, but really doesn't dig it). i cut down slowly and all of the sudden, i didn't have the urge anymore. i have not yet said that i have quit because i will never say that. if i feel like having a smoke i will. i think it is the guilt and restrictions that we put on ourselves that make us inherently want to do it more. i also started really listening to my body and how i felt after i smoked. i really felt worse, it made me tired and put me in a shitty mood. but that didn't matter i would still do it.
the only advice i really have to give is to not guilt yourself. that is to me the worst 'sin' if there was such a thing. if you like smoking, enjoy it while you are doing it and i really think if you let go of the guilt surrounding smoking, you will quit when you are ready. xxx
c'est moi--awww thank you. that is a great compliment. the 70's is my absolute favorite era and one i get the most influence from style wise. xxx
ann--oh ann, thanks for coming back. haha. i loved that dress and i'm wondering where it went!! probably in one of my 5 storage spaces haha. xxx
ellie jane-e valentine--thanks for mentioning the basketball pic, it is one of my all time favorites. xxx
These are so fun! I think it's so cool to see a documentation like this. I never have photos of myself because I'm always the one behind the camera. It's so interesting seeing people change. And you weren't kidding about the hairstyles! They all bring out something different and I really think they all suited you well.
ReplyDeleteFrom all of them though I am completely captivated by the first one. I don't know why but it's just so awesome!
tastes eclectic fashion--thank you for the compliments and i love that you like the first pic. the funny story behind this pic is that i was at work. i was with my assistant at the production office and all the guys were in the back playing basketball while smoking and i thought it was so hysterical. so i went out and started playing while smoking and my assistant took a bunch of snapshots. so i have this whole mini movie with these pics. i should make an animated photo movie out of the pics. it would be awesome. thanks so much!! and we need to see pics of you!!
