military done minimal.
this here is my take on the "military trend". i am really not all about the khaki, on army green, on khaki, on army green and possibly some added dog tags. i like to mix things up, so voila. today it was my version of freezing in los angeles, which would be 65°. i am such a baby, this i know. i headed out for my starbucks run of the day in this outfit and was still freezing my ass off. so needless to say i am ready for some summer lovin'!
thank you all for your sweet comments on the snapshots of my life post yesterday. always check back if you ask a question, because i will answer it here. also notice that i (my husband) has added links to *inspire and *ask a stylist on the side bar.

ReplyDeleteA long time ago, when my husband lived in LA, he used to take his oldest daughter to an ice cream shop in the evening. She was about six. One time, walking home in 60 degree weather she said to him, "Dad, I love these crisp winter nights."
ReplyDeleteI love to make him retell that story.

I love army surplus stores! They always have the coolest stuff. I need to get some new jungle boots, even though they have the weirdest chemical smell that never goes away. I'm going to cover the fabric part w/ pyramid studs. One of the many projects in the cue. :)
ReplyDeleteomg nickie that is such a good idea. i have a list of about 30 diy's i want to do right now. but i'm either too lazy (big surprise) or need the materials and i would apparently rather buy a new pair of shoes. aargh.
ReplyDeleteGreat clothes! love it, especially the shoes & the plaid with the dark green :)
ReplyDeleteyour boots are rad
ReplyDeleteI NEED this jacket UGGGHHHH jealous.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this outfit! The plaid goes so well with that jacket.
ReplyDeleteI could have sworn I commented on this post. Opps. I remember reading/looking at it and thinking this is how military should be done these days (I mean by people not otherwise engaged in a real militia experience). Too much of the typical military feel is dull. You spiced it up! That jacket is so wonderful. I've been looking for one the exact same shade.
