legs. legs. legs. (pt.1)

i've been on a serious nadja auermann kick today. i was remembering what an amazing model she was especially in the mid 90's until she kind of disappeared. known for her endless legs and platinum blonde hair, she was a part of some kick ass editorials. thought i would share some pics with you. the only problem is that there are too many pics so i'm going to have to separate them in different posts. i hope you enjoy them as much as i have.

triangles.

as promised last night i whipped out the scissors and tried a diy on a pair of jeans. this of course was inspired directly copied from erin wasson x rvca. see here. this did not work out quite the way i wanted it to. let me tell you why—the only jeans i had to work with were some cheap-o forever21 dealio's with so much spandex in them that they might as well be leggings. i knew going into this that i needed pants with no stretch, but being the stubborn person i am and also a person that seeks instant gratification, i went ahead.....ugh.

do not—may i stress—do not try to cut shapes into stretch fabric. the triangle will end up looking like a rectangle and a heart will look like a bat (example aa heart tights). it also didn't help that i couldn't cut the triangles higher on the jean because of the pocket. disaster. i am posting this so you can kind of get the idea, but also you will learn from my mistakes. haha! i am quite sure these will be going out with the trash and i will be spending money on the real thing. so much for trying to save a buck!

do any of you have any diy disasters you would like to share?

p.s. i apologize for the practical mug shots, up against the apartment wall. i blame this on the rain, i would also like to blame this diy on the rain. and after i post this i'm sure i would like to blame it on the rain as well....aargh.

to dye for.

it has been raining cats and dogs in los angeles so getting any outfit pics is quite the challenge. but...my amazing husband came home from work today just to take some quick pics. since it's been so gloomy i thought i would bring out my colorful tie dye tights to brighten up my day. i hope they add some happy to yours as well.

valetta justifies her love.

i know a million bloggers have probably already posted this editorial and i realize that it is extremely old, especially by fashions standards, but i am so in love with it!! i must torture you some more. (=; this takes me back to madonna's justify my love days. i am such a fan of the dark and gritty. that probably explains my fascination with foreign films. aha!! what do you think of it? it seems like it was a bit controversial and scandalous(one of my all time favorite words. sweet!). all the more fun i say!

i will have an outfit post for you tomorrow. until then, enjoy again!
